Speed Ball [raxiss]
Re: Speed Ball [raxiss]
Hahahaha... Dom, you are the best
Re: Speed Ball [raxiss]
Thank you all .
Maybe in time, I will rework the game to support ORIC1 and IJK joysticks. I will take some of the levels and make a one tap file.

When scrolling in text mode, the screen jumps quite annoyingly if it's low speed (I tried this in Space Cowboy - Demo).
Yes, this is a syntax error.
Exactly the levels took a lot longer than the game code
I have the same memories. In my country, there were only clones of Apple2 and ORIC .Silicebit. wrote: ↑Thu Apr 28, 2022 7:10 pm I love this kind of games! It brings back memories of when a friend of mine and I played Aztec, Montezuma’s Revenge and Lode Runner on his Apple IIe.
I haven't seen Sundog or Time Bandits (tried to find them, but to no avail)
Мaybe you will give maps of the levels and a solution for passing them
Re: Speed Ball [raxiss]
I had Sundog as an original on the Atari ST, it's from the same company who wrote Dungeon Master.
Basically you are in a spaceship which is grounded because there are some broken components, which you can acquire by going out in the city.
Time Bandit is one of the earlier Atari ST games, it's a strange game with a main map with teleporters that goes to various thematic locations with levels inspired by aliens, pacman, gauntlet, old temples, etc...

Re: Speed Ball [raxiss]
Sorry for my ignorance but where and when shall we type this hack?Dom wrote: ↑Tue May 03, 2022 9:42 pm just type in :Code: Select all
SPEEDBALL,N:POKE#1081,#EA:DOKE#1082,#EAEA:CALL#600
I can understand that you're NOPing the life decrementation but how do you access a BASIC interpreter between the moment the game is loaded in memory and the moment it is started?
Of course I am asking for a friend of mine
Re: Speed Ball [raxiss]
When loading, with the monitor of the emulator you can modify the first data of the mc code of the game with a RTS, (POKE#600,#60) return to the loading process, return to the monitor, restore the value, come back to the BASIC page, enter the BASIC line.
Re: Speed Ball [raxiss]
@jbperin: The game uses Sedoic and auto-run can be interrupted with press+hold Ctrl-C.
Re: Speed Ball [raxiss]
You can also introduce the disc in the drive B. Then type B- and then type the hack.
Re: Speed Ball [raxiss]
Edit : Ok ok I got the level but still did not understand what "break the wall" means
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok I surrender
I can't figure out what does "break the wall" means.. Which wall we are talking about and how to do that?
I get the skull, reach the door room but I can't finish the level?

Hello Rax & Iss team,
I've added your pearl in oric.org base.
https://www.oric.org/software/speedball-2764.html
Thanks a lot for this nice production. I'd to use my neurons in screen 4, and stucked at screen 5.
Simple and addictive.
A great software.
