Re: Season greetings!
For me:
* Write a couple of light and cute Oric games with 8-bit Unity
* Get my Telestrat working again

Re: Season greetings!
For my next project, I would like to make a contribution about 3D Oric programming started by Jbperin. My Basic code written 25 years ago is slow and wrong. I plan to make a demo as it exists with Apple2.
Re: Season greetings!
I tend to avoid doing this type of thing because "time flies", but on the long list of things that may or may not be this year:
- Make a few more Oriclopedia videos (I'm thinking dropping to one video a month - max)
- Fix the tape drives I collected, and make a giant comparative of them to see which ones are best for Oric game loading
- Try to get some work done on Quantum Fx Turbo Ultra and Encounter HD
- Try to get some nice demo effects for the Oric Exos
Re: Season greetings!
Well, long ago I interviewed Andrew Moore. I then learnt that he an a friend ported DPTLQ onto Amiga.
He didn't have anything left of it but I eventually got in touch with this friend, that sent me sources disks. I made ADF files of them.
I'm no C expert, and even less Amiga programmer, and I tried to compile it all using GCC on Amiga, but failed. It seemed some libraries were missing. Years later I gave the sources to a friend who knew Amiga programmers, and they told him the source code wasn't complete - too much to be compiled easily. I'm not sure they were motivated by DPTLQ, and it then went into limbo.
So if you liked the game and like challenges, I can send you the source disks (should I find them back ), so you could try checking how (in)complete it was, and if it could be fun finishing it.
Just an idea
Re: Season greetings!
Happy Holidays to all of you!
I have started a few games more. I hope to be able to finish them in the new year.

Re: Season greetings!
Please, send them... I am not sure I will have time anytime soon, and I am not even optimistic, but we'll see..
Regarding Amiga programming, all I managed to do is this little effect in asm: And I started playing with isometric graphics, but the blitter is a hard beast!

As I was wandering in the code of this demo, i suddenly wondered how you generated the data of this song:
https://github.com/raxrax/oricXmas2019/blob/master/song.s
Is it the result of the ym2mym tool
https://osdk.org/index.php?page=documen ... age=ym2mym
which is dumped which the bin2txt tool ?

Re: Season greetings!
Merry Christmas too all!
Was a little bit distracted last days with another 8 bit platform: finally received my Ultimate 64 Elite board so I now have that in a nice C64 breadbin case. Was nice setting that up, so little to none time on the Oric last week apart from briefly testing the IJK interface + Egoist pad that I also received.
On my 8 bit plans for 2021:
- Finish a project that I am now doing in C to make a bootmenu integrated with a filebrowser for the Commodore 128. Am starting from a nice CC65 source for the filebrowser, so also a nice project to start work with C;
- After that finish porting the other boardgame that I started to convert from an old C128 program I made to Oric;
- Convert both the Ludo game to C;
- Maybe reverse the order of the two above to learn C well enough to directly do that second game in C.
- Continue to experirent with nice new hardware for my old 8 bit computers.
