60Hz ROM

If you want to ask questions about how the machine works, peculiar details, the differences between models, here it is !
How to program the oric hardware (VIA, FDC, ...) is also welcome.

60Hz ROM

Post by HigashiJun »

I think iss is the specialist here, but anyone else is also welcome to reply :D

I'd like to know what bytes need to be changed in order to have a 60Hz ROM, especially 1.22 ROMS.

iss nicely shared his ROMs archive in another thread, but this archive was lacking a 1.22 UK ROM (60Hz) still providing the "£" symbol, instead of the "€" one...

Thanks in advance for your help.

Cheers.

I don't know for the 1.22 ROM... But if this can help, on ROM 1.1b, I found this back: replace, in #F934, #1E by #1C; and in #F9CA, #1A by #18
(this was from an email with Fabrice F. and Nightbird, and I tried it myself successfully at the time)

Thank you Symoon.

I'll give it a try as soon as I can.
