Re: CEO Meet Christmas 2020
Oh this sounds interesting! Is it in French language?
Despite working for French companies for most of my life, my French is unfortunately non-existent!
I can understand if it is by the way, these days the best Oric support is clearly in France

Last time it was in French with someone friendly enough to do live translation.
But even without translation, I could follow much of the presentations even with my French also be quite non-existent.

Re: CEO Meet Christmas 2020
French / English
It's a mess to decide on which language we should share these experiences
Language presentation depends on Presenter
I know that some english speaking people prefers to get the live english spoken
However, i've received some french reacts as they've some difficulties to follow the exchanges.
So, there's no good solution.
We'll certainly continue to have some reports done in english, some in french and if we're lucky, we'll have our worldwide oric translator pro online to let more people able to follow as possible

I missed it. Completely forgot until later than 22. Even so, I was about to join in case I could say hello, but had to do other things... ah
I really wanted to attend...

Re: CEO Meet Christmas 2020
Even though I don't speak a word of French, it was really nice to tune in and listen to the conversations and see a very technically competent community of Oric enthusiasts discussing things.. it really opened my eyes to the fact that there is a strong French Oric scene, which has survived decades actually, and the CEO crew really look like a team of old mates who have been meeting at the same pub for years. Very interesting meeting, even though I fell asleep half way through.
Was great to see the OricCHIR editor in use, that is going to be a very valuable tool for game-makers once it gets stabilised - and also the news about the Twilighte board was fascinating as well - I guess I have to dust mine off and send it back to Jede so I can catch up with the Orix project ...

Re: CEO Meet Christmas 2020
Actually, the on-line meetings allow more people to meet! I'd say about half of the attendees never came at a "physical meeting" in Paris - which doesn't mean they were not actors of the Oric scene of course
Very impressed with the demos.

Yeah, the demo's were pretty great. Honestly very inspiring! Interesting to hear the online meets allowed for more people to attend .. I guess I should get that CEO subscription I've often pondered about ..
Also Sy, it was funny to hear you tuning in. Do you have an airplane headset with a keyed mic by any chance? Sure sounded like you were in the air ..

Re: CEO Meet Christmas 2020
Aha, is it because of the mic sound, or the on/off effect that could be a bit late when I start speaking? I do have an on/off button and use it rather than the software on/off mic
