CEO Meet Autumn 2020

Dear all
As feedbacks from Oricians about last CEO Meet were good, we decided to organise a new one, using Google Meet.
Date will be more aligned with professional constraints as it's planned on Friday, Sept. 11th, 9pm CEST.
If you have any idea or subject to be shared with anybody online (the meeting will be, like all visu meetings from ceo open to everybody), please post a msg or send me a mail

Ah, great, that time sounds like a lot more feasible for me.
Will this be in English or in French? And if in French, no experience with Google Meet yet, does it do live subtitling like Microsoft Teams does?
Sorry, my French is just to basic to do anything but basic reading, by far not quick enough for understanding spoken word.

Hello, if there're some english people, i'll ask if presenters can do it in english (and in franch of course as some french attendees need french)

I'm ok for doing subtexts from French to English, but I'm not going to do English to French, just so you know

Unfortunately a reflection on the poor eduction in language of the 1980's in England, considering Fench was mandatory until age 14. I can just about ask "where is the railway station?" and "My name is".
Will there be a rough agenda and timings with english / french parts listed so people can drop in for the parts they can understand.
If its not possible then not a problem as I know people can only do "their turn" at certain times due to other commitments. I watched the video of the last one and enjoyed the opengl demo , so even if a video was available post event it would be great.
I'd love one day to demo the I2C code with various modules (rtc, lcd etc) and also the I2C wifi module but I got stuck on a couple of bugs so I rested that project as it was frustrating me. Maybe a plan to do a demo in the future will motivate me again.

Yes, but it will be a rough one.
I'll modify agenda on the website as soon as the third presentation will be validated.
I'll push too the language used by presenters. I think that at least 1 will be in English. Anyway, dbug has done a realtime translation in google meet last time to let english users able to follow the presenter.
If i don't forget, a computer will record the session then i'll publish under ceo youtube account.

Great, mail me when ready to share your work. I'll be happy to learn about some hardware tricks on the oric. I'm sure that this subject will interest some expertized hardware users.

Ha, not only that I think
I have received French lessons much longer, including reading French literature, and was not bad at it, but if you do not practice you probably can read still at a basic level, but listening to spoken word let alone speaking are much more challenging then...
My French presently is just good enough to order baguettes in the bakery and order diner in a restaurant during a holiday (just came back a week ago from a three week holiday to Bretagne). But not much more.
