Well, there's nothing on the oric.org page so one thing you could do is to provide the data (tap, screenshots, scans of the manual or inlay), so we can populate the page AND explain to you what it does :D

From what I figured out, it's a speech program,, but I'm not quite sure if it requires a dedicated hardware or not, because it mentions "Mettez la liaison de l'amplificateur" which kind of translates to "Connect the amplifier connection", so maybe it requires a special wire on the tape or printer port.

The "Peroquet" (parrot) software seems to be a recorder/replayer

And the "manual" explains that you can make the program talk using !, like entering the following:
!C,H,E,V,A,L
will pronounce "Horse" (in French)

Many thanks Dbug I didn’t realise it was a separate program as it was in the same folder as Bla Bla Bla , I’ll give it a try 👍

Here you can hear the parrot in action:

The attached ZIP-file contains converted WAV to TAP files and merged:
BLABLABLA.wav + BLABLABLA2.wav = blablabla.tap
PERROQUET.wav = perroquet.tap

Summary: Nice talking program! It uses 1bit samples which are 'streamed' through tape-out :).
You need simple 1-wire loop-back connection on the tape port - shorten pin 1 (tape-out) to pin 5 (sound).
Interesting is that there is a BG program (called 'synthesizer BOBO-3') which uses exactly the same approach ... :?
( One day I'll post more on this story... )

Whaou, nice.

So basically that's another tape hack, we had "RGB SYNC -> TAPE IN" and now we also have "TAPE OUT -> SPEAKER".

CPU wise, I'm not quite sure how faster it is to replay samples through the tape interface vs using the YM volume register?
