Re: Wurlde - Game Development Forum

I've been going through it, and it is indeed enormous amounts of code to understand, but .. he wasn't stupid. He left a lot of clues behind and documented things in a way that a careful follower might be able to pick up the pieces. I think he wanted that. So anyway I'm going to keep trying to unders...

Re: Looking for Xenon-1 demo

I knew the distributor of Oric in Australia back in the day, and these DEMO tapes were distributed for shops to have something running on the Oric hardware - as far as I can remember, they had a mode where they just 'scrolled' through a bunch of screenshots or something, some sort of gimmick that th...

Re: Wurlde - Game Development Forum

From twilighte/Wurlde/Docs: The potential emptyness of death, like the Nothing from Neverending story or the great deapth from Abyss, like a few dark dreams i had as a child. Feeling completely alone in an unknown place, All these contain an enormously emotive force, and if i were to create even an ...

Re: New pictconv soon

I'd do it in SDL, pure and simple, and that way it won't only be Windows-based. Or, if not SDL, them something at least portable across platforms.

Re: RIP Twilighte

I'm very sad to hear of Jonathans' passing. I have been a fan of Twilighte since the very second I saw his splash, some decades away. I only ever knew him in spirit, as a person on the other end of the world who had a mad passion for creative expression and survival of the Oric scene, and I can say ...

Re: Gamebase Oric V1.00

I have made successful contact with Andre, the author of Tetrix, and he is going to see if he has something for us in the Oric department from his attic in the next few days! :) Crossing fingers that he joins us here soon and delights in reliving his Oric glory days with us all!

You made me sad! But maybe there is a way you can use the inverse attribute method to achieve similar results ..

Re: Fast scrolling game howto, anyone?

This is awesome, I'm seeing the opportunity for an expanded Tracker to come of this, beyond the scrolling game engine .. well, *with* the scrolling game engine, maybe you could make a nice music editor as well .. :)

Re: The Return of Viking Chess (Hnefatafl)

Wow, I will never get used to seeing Oric colors being usable so close together like that. :) My 13-year old brain is hard-wired to look for the color clash, every single time. :P

Nice work!

Great stuff, I finally get a chance to try this out properly! :)

On the subject of Tetrix, has anyone contacted Andre Widhami, by any chance? He seems to still be rather a prolific software person, by the looks of it ..
