Re: Image mapping : Peer review needed

Hello. Using the Oric memory is maybe faster than calculation to fill a triangle, by saving the two Hires locations of the pixels of the triangle in the same line of the screen (segment), you need to swap the two values to put the lower in the first position. Then, when the triangle is drawn, just c...

I made an experimental adapter for the Amstrad computer's Joystick, two fire buttons are available for Oric, it is compatible with IJK joystick games. I'll show it at the next GoogleMeet.

Re: IJK-egopad the joypad for Oric by [raxiss]

I was wondering about something: All these Joysticks are using DB9 connectors, we need 2 pins for +5v and ground, 4 pins for the for directions, so why do we have only one fire button? We have two additional pins, can't they be used to handle some additional fire button, or some select/menu/pause? ...

Re: Atmos ROM

I never tryed this but normally, if the Rom is deactivated by Erebus, the computer can run without the Oric Rom chip memory.

Normally, we can set the brightness by choosing the current in the internal LEDs and the contrast with a potentiometer in the 1602 lcd module.

Re: IJK-egopad the joypad for Oric by [raxiss]

On the db9 connector, pins 1 2 3 4 6 8 are used for directions and fire as logical signals, according to the Atari standard, Oric interfaces and games are compatible. The other terminals are analog input which send a progressive signal to move a brick breaker racket or a camera, the Oric has no anal...

Re: Atmos ROM

@Protek: Erebus needs to desactivate the internal rom with the /ROMDIS pin to run with the external one, I suppose that the drive do the same to use its bootstrap program, if Erebus runs correctly, the driver will do the same. @Iss: Thanks for the test, its a good new for the Oric computers with a m...

I modified the THEM game, the first program that calculated from address #00 does it from #80. It works with Erebus.

Re: ORIC SDCARD

You can try the Erebus without the SDcard module. Start the Oric and type CLOAD"" , you'll see "Memory Error," which means Erebus works. I tried the EEProm Winbond W27c512 and there are defects sometimes. With a UVProm, it's always worked.
