Re: Cumana Reborn DSK support

Could it be something with the acess to the USB disk?
Did you try with a single HFE that works on the USB key, then deleting it and replacing it with a HFE that previously didn't work?

Don't Press the Letter Q!
I second that!
Also the classic Zorgons Revenge (watch for the doc for space level keys), or Zebbie.

Also lots of adventure games, and 21th century games in TAP format (especially from Twilighte or Raxiss, many other recent releases being more floppy-drive based).

Re: Cumana Reborn DSK support

Among other things I noticed, is that with the Cumulus I can load from tape without any problem, while with the Cumana Reborn, most tapes fail to load. If someone has an idea, feel free to share :) This is a classic, tapes load on very few machines when a disk drive is plugged. I'm no tech expert b...

Re: Assembler / disassembler

Pro’s should never use Excel 😉 (sorry, could not help myself. Always in my work battling against End User Defined Apllucations instead of proper automation...) Ha ha, I both agree and disagree. It's a matter of doing things you have to do, with the tools you got. Sometimes fully right (you don't ca...

Re: Is BD-DOS lost to time?

Wow, nice to see you around :) Wanted to thank you for your past work on Sedoric and documenting it with André C., it's been very helpful when I played a bit with it years ago. I think I also had a few questions about your old software distribution in a thread a few years ago. Yes, that was here htt...

Re: Assembler / disassembler

Aha thanks, I don't have a recent Excel version so not sure I can read xlsx files, but I should give it a try!
BTW i'm no Excel "pro", rather a hobyyst that likes playing with VBA for fun - but none of my work is pro ;)

Re: Oric V23 Modem

Hope you can transfert the Tansoft tapes - even if no-one would use it nowadays :) As far as I know this software wasn't available anywhere. I'm no specialist but I recall hearing of "Oricomms" and software from Nick or Jon Haworth (was it the same software?). Not sure where to find them, or if they...

Re: OUM magazine scans...

When I published the PDF of the german magazines, Bit, Atmosphäre, Atmosphere, I removed all the phone numbers, street addresses and bank account numbers I could fine. I kept the names and cities, I think that's an acceptable trade-off, fully anonymising means we don't even know who was writing wha...

Re: OUM magazine scans...

I was reading one of the later ones and found someone's new address printed there. That's the sort of thing that concerns me. I second that. I remember, despite my requests, my full name and address were published in CEO (that was long ago). I had been bothered by a crazy guy a few years before (at...

Re: IJK-egoist new joystick interface by [raxiss]

@Kenneth ok thanks, it's clearer for me now ;) @ISS ha ha, I also did count the microseconds several times ;) As you say 23 is actually something like 22.68 µs. I had surprises somethimes of bit shifting when loading long programs, or with memory page change. And sometimes on only some Atmos and not...

Re: IJK-egoist new joystick interface by [raxiss]

Demo of Novalight 1.1 (1.2 is faster but nothing really significant): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgCfp89MVUg Now the boring drawback with multipart is that you have to stop the reading before the next part begins, until the Oric is in CLOAD mode again. So considering the intro, let's say once y...
