Re: Space 1999 - players area
Hi ! So, is anyone playing Space 1999? I gave it a try today. Found Helena, the password to the quarantine area, but I'm blocked by a stupid unpowered ZX81  Didn't find how to activate it yet! Great! Someone playing it! Oh well... just one day... Maybe don't want me to spoil the plot. If you r...

The advantage of this disk routines is that they occupy just 1K from FE00 to FFF9 and don't use Page 0 or Page 2. Switching ROM can only be done in a program that resides below C000, so i can provide a routine but it will never be integrated into the Disk Routines. Please also note that Each machin...

All of the above issues have been addressed now. The Application is now provided with a demo and some rudimentary documentation. http://www.defence-force.org/ftp/forum/twilighte/dskbuilder/dskbuilder1001.zip Have fun. For the moment, i am back to Wurlde. Fantastic tool Twilighte! This is really use...

Chema, i have not yet been able to recreate the issue you have. Did you place all 3 files in your osdk/bin directory? Also, you must have the osdk environment variable set to the osdk directory for the program to work. Ah, ok. My fault. Just let those files on the application directory and not in t...

Re: DSKBuilder - New Windows utility
DSKBuilder is a brand spanking new windows based GUI utility that allows anyone to create a new Oric Disk and populate it with up to 80 files of any type. The generated disk is not Sedoric compatable but provides its own multi-boot system and will contain a suite of disk access routines. All of the...

Re: Euphoric won't load ROM file
Hi, You will probably have to wait until someone with deep knowledge answers, but I guess it does not perform any checking. Else it should at least exit with an error... The most probable thing is that your modified rom is not booting the Oric properly... Those stripes you see... are they on the Ori...

Doing 3D games on the Oric ?
Greetings... As some of you know I've been working on a 3D engine for the Oric lately. But it is not necessary to reinvent the wheel... so I have converted Stephen Judd's lib3d and obj3d libraries for the C64 to the Oric. The process was quite easy, once you understood how things are done. This engi...

I thought about it Chema, but there is a major problem. ... All of that to ask : In this kind of case, how do you manage Labels ? Yeah, indeed there are places where you cannot (at least easily) manage labels. In fact with self modifying code in which you have something like: lda XX sta label...

I don't think so... Once you compile, you loose the Labels you included in your code. I don't think one could reverse the process. Well... maybe there is an option. It is for sure possible to keep a dictionary with all the addresses (relative or absolute) that appear in branch, jmp and jsr instruct...
