Re: Translation of french games?

Hi Symoon, Well, I didn't ask because I wasn't aware you had other versions of tapes than the ones posted on Oric.org, but please do send me your converted .TAP version (you've got my email anyway), and I'll have a look at it to see if there are any bugs / transfer errors. By the way, the page on Or...

Re: Translation of french games?

Hi guys, Well, I'm digging up an old subject, but I thought I'd let you know I may be able to help translate some French games to English, for your enjoyment :D I actually had a go a few months ago at " Detective Story ", a very enjoyable French game in BASIC where you play a detective car...

Re: RIP Ian Sinclair

Very sad news indeed, all my thoughts go to his brother Keith, his nephew John S., and the rest of his family and friends. He will be long remembered and honoured within our community, and the upcoming interview of his nephew by Symoon will be a tribute to his contributions to the founding and devel...

Re: Modern Software Packaging

Awesome job Dbug, the artwork & fonts are stunning!!

Just caught a small typo on "PrintSheet_1" for Kong: "barels" is misspelt, should be "barrels" :-)

Re: 65c22

Hi, That's an interesting discussion, but I think an important point was omitted: What is the intended purpose of replacing the stock 6522 with the CMOS 65C22 version? I guess the CMOS version probably corrects bugs in the original NMOS units, but I don't remember these bugs affecting our Orics in a...

Re: OSDK Issue Tracker

Well, there was no "int main(int argc, char**argv)" function in the code snippet DBug posted so looking at this code it seemed it was a very strange case of recursion with the wrong function signature :o I failed to understand at first how you could have two functions with the same name bu...

Re: OSDK Issue Tracker

Hi,

Err... What is the interest of this code anyway that just looks to me as an endless recursive calling sequence of main() with the wrong dunction signature ?!

I guess the compiler actually detected the code was nonsense and decided to call it quits !

Re: Oric AtmoStrat GX

Hello, Just for your information, it seems the Atmostrat GX site (http://oric.club/atmostrat) was taken down sometime during the last quarter of 2018... Fortunately, there are archived versions of the site still available on "Wayback Archive", the latest dates back 13 August 2018: https://...

Re: Competition CEO: New Year 2019

Thanks DBug for sharing your code, and I hope you get some time in the future to pursue this project :) As to my CEO contest entry (ElectrOric), I have extensively reworked and expanded my meager, half-baked one-level demo project into an (almost) full game. It now features 25 levels with "unlo...

Re: Better code generation (for CC65)

Speaking of bugs/test cases, I thought there was a bug in lcc/OSDK with unions in C, because after refactoring some of my code to introduce unions last week, it reacted strangely (union members not being correctly updated after being assigned) and I had to implement things differently (actually putt...

Re: Better code generation (for CC65)

Maybe everybody should try to rebuild their programs in -O3 and see if they notice any bugs, because there used to be some code generation errors, which is why it was not enabled by default, but if it works, that could be a good first step. Well, if we are talking about rcc16 used in the OSDK, it l...

Re: OSDK feature request - add OSDKMACHINE env variable to set target machine for execution

Thanks for creating the issues on the issue tracking system DBug. Regarding the second issue (Oric 1 compatibility of OSDK C libraries), I'm taking the "Run time selection" route. I'll create a new topic as soon as I have something working for some of the libraries (I have an easy and hope...

OSDK feature request - add OSDKMACHINE env variable to set target machine for execution

Hi, When launching a program made with OSDK on Oricutron, the emulator is launched in default (e.g. Atmos) mode. Strangely, the OSDK\Oricutron\osdk_oricutron.bat file does mention the possibility of "ROM choice / Machine choice", but is currently not implemented (by the way, the comment me...
