65c816 and twilighte board/orix : here we go :)

Soon gl65 in 16 bits on the oric ? :) Of course the routine could be written to be quicker (copy blocks opcodes or zero page ...) The picture is displayed with a 65C816 cpu and a 65C816 routine, it loads from sdcard or from usb (from PC) if we want (it solves emulators issues, because program can be...

Re: Games with joysticks on twilighte board

master system or CPC joypads works. That triggers me, as according to the Wikipedia page I referred to above, both Master System and Amstrad CPC joysticks actually do use a different pin layout compared to original Atari.... (unlike the C64) They are also different to each other according to that o...

Re: Games with joysticks on twilighte board

Curious indeed, but there is info on the makers website on this. Just to check if I interpret this information correctly: If I read on http://orix.oric.org/twilighte-board-v0-6-user-manual/ the statement under features '2 DB9 Joysticks (atari)', I assume I can plug in my old Commodore 64 joysticks ...

Re: Games with joysticks on twilighte board

That's so cool !! :o Do you have any recommendation for a model of joystick to use? What are the design constraint on software for them to be playable with joystick or joypad? It's a very nice feature of Twilighte board. A lot of Oric games works with joysticks with atmos rom on the board without a...

Re: Twilighte card & sittler card (sdcard/joysticks/mouse)

Twilighte board manage an usb port, if you code the 6502 driver on orix, you can handle a lot of usb devices. It require a bit of work.

Cool if you can be in a meeting where there is more than one Oric :)

Re: My last list of non-working games on Erebus

Hello, so far I tested about 200 games, as we know some games do not work on Erebus (when they are multi-part). For some non-working games, I could let them work by joining some different files into only one (thread : https://forum.defence-force.org/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=2002&p=20133&hilit=joiner#p2...

Re: Twilighte card & sittler card (sdcard/joysticks/mouse)

What I meant was, use a Telestrat to serve files to a bunch of Atmos' .. ;) In that case, it will require some work. And, i don't know if it will be useful to have this :) If you can show me an event where there is 2 oric runnning in the same room from differents peoples :) At coding party, i am of...

Re: Twilighte card & sittler card (sdcard/joysticks/mouse)

Cool. Now we need the same thing for Telestrat (Other Orics) ... What do you mean by "Same thing for telestrat". Hardware is already available on telestrat. Except ram/rom switch and in system cardridge programmation. The hardware is called "Oric HD" and we can start floppy disk with telestrat : ht...

Re: Twilighte card & sittler card (sdcard/joysticks/mouse)

So, in practice, how is that implemented, is that in the card firmware? No it's not in the card firmware entirely, i used native kernel call to read data from USB (that is why it was easier to set up the solution) and this trick can be used from every command/rom available on the card, but there is...

Re: Twilighte card & sittler card (sdcard/joysticks/mouse)

Cool! Now we're talking :D I assume it works in both direction: You can create folders and files on the Oric, and they are directly accessible from the PC? For instance, it works from PC to Oric with Wifi connection. I don't know why i can't write from Oric to the device for instance. I started wed...

Re: Twilighte card & sittler card (sdcard/joysticks/mouse)

I checked and link with USB is possible without any overflow from the oric side.

Anyway, we are looking to a solution which will require no code :) Some news, this week maybe.
