Re: SEDORIC extended BASIC commands syntax samples/manual?

Well, you can mix and match labels and line numbers.

You can totally add a label that matches the existing line of a function, and use that for new code

Re: SEDORIC extended BASIC commands syntax samples/manual?

By the way: is it normal behaviour that the OSDK Basic converter inject a character after ' or REM lines to make the line after the remark statement green? Code works so apparently not harmful. And it looks cool as long as the REM line keeps on one line (as the C128D original was written on an 80 c...

Re: SEDORIC extended BASIC commands syntax samples/manual?

I've personally never used things like TAKE and PUT, or the equivalent on TAPE, found that way too complicated to use, in general I just use a block of memory that I just load and save directly. Question: Are you editing the BASIC code directly on the Oric (emulated or not), or are you doing that on...

Re: SEDORIC extended BASIC commands syntax samples/manual?

Actually, disk space was also getting a limit ;-) Kicked down the music from six tracks to be selected to three to actually be able to have space for at least two or three save games. What I see is that it's a simple face floppy, with 17 sectors per tracks and only 21 tracks, while a 3" floppy can ...

Re: SEDORIC extended BASIC commands syntax samples/manual?

Just that you were mentioning starting to get short in memory, if you are making a game that uses the disk, you can simply load data from disk instead of converting on startup, so if you have some assembler routines, or some redefined characters, sprites, etc... just store that on disk and load it w...

Re: SEDORIC extended BASIC commands syntax samples/manual?

Is your game for Tape or Disk configurations?
Do you have "Data" that you READ/POKE on startup in your program?

Re: 8bit-Unity version 0.3.5

Well, mine was also sent the 19th, the tracking information says it left OSAKA on the 20th, but since then, nothing on the radar :)

Apart me and my own Atmos, I am rather very skeptical about finding more fellow Oricians here in Japan. :(

But who knows...
Well, based on the tracking information for my 8bit hub, it's possible there is an Orician in Kyoto.

Re: ORIC in Japan

Maybe there are archives in japan that can be searched?

I remember having seen this picture some time ago, and indeed that's the only Japanese reference I found at the time.

Re: SEDORIC extended BASIC commands syntax samples/manual?

Regarding memcpy, I've been thinking in adding a variant of memcpy with two "stride" and a second counter which could be used to copy rectangular areas by automatically skipping some data, basically the equivalent of that, but in assembler: void blockcpy(dest,source,width,height,dest_stride,source_s...

Re: 8bit-Unity version 0.3.5

I guess, technically, since the hub is on the printer port, it can "emulate" anything that is based on the printer port, including possibly using it as a way to send actual "print outs" to a PC or maybe even a USB printer?

Re: Cumana Reborn and OLED display

Could you provide some links or references to the screen you got, and maybe some photos of the modification you did?

Re: SEDORIC extended BASIC commands syntax samples/manual?

Also remember that on real screens, with the real oric, pixels are not square, they are squished (so if you do CIRCLE that you get is not a circle but a flattened ellipse), that being said, I know this game, I played it a lot when I was younger, kept cursing my mum because the kept doing double six ...
