Live in Vienna: Oric Atmos In The Window

I will play an Oric Atmos as a kind of a synthesiser this Tuesday, 11 August here in Vienna at Yppenplatz 5: http://thesystem.at/ I will post more details as they develop. There's already an Oric in the window, doing something, so if you're wandering around Vienna and wanna see a real live Oric: Ypp...

Re: Oricutron on Ubuntu

You can find those ROM's either on a warez site, or in the existing Windows installation of Oricutron. I think Oricutron doesn't include them in the repo to avoid any potential copyright hoopla. As for the keyboard: does your new system have its LC_ALL and other vars related to Locale set properly? ...

Re: How to create a blank disk for saving games progresses in HxcFloppYEmulator

I just copy SED306.dsk.hfe and use it as my blank disk - there is no need to format ever again, with .DSK files around ..

Re: Twilighte card & sittler card (sdcard/joysticks/mouse)

I'm planning an exhibit here in Vienna in two weeks that will have 2 Oric's involved.

But that's not really the point. What matters is if we CAN, not if we should. ;)

Re: Vectrex developers had invented them all

It was an interesting system, but got boring very fast. I do think the concept of a vector machine in general is pretty cool though - but only if lasers are involved. ;)

None of this is hard but you have to have seen the rewards of the effort required to use it effectively. Even svn is a pain in the wrong mindset. I can't imagine life without git, but hey ..

Don't forget that almost any game can be a Disc-based game, with TAP2DSK ..

StormLord and SkoolDaze are pretty darned fun. I haven't finished Impossible Mission, but my lady almost did ..

Re: Complete list of Oric Atmos adreeses

I would love to have a look at it.. and also work on converting it to a text file in a .DSK for reference on-Oric, perhaps?

Re: Source code repository discussion

Learning git opens up such an immense world of software resources, and unique and wonderful ways of looking at it, from a developer perspective. But yes, it does require a commitment - nobody can make it for you. Whatever is used, I hope we can help each other with any of the difficulties that might...

Re: Complete list of Oric Atmos adreeses

This is an awesome thread .. am I to assume that one result of it, might be that we have a header (.h) or maybe some other form of code interface derived from this data harvest, which might then be used in apps/frameworks?
