Andy Green, Author of DELTA FOUR, sold his first
program, MISSILE BASE to ACORNSOFT when he was sixteen.
Since then he's gone on to write PROTECTOR for QUICKSILVA,
DELTA FOUR (this one!)then ULTIMA ZONE and THEM for TANSOFT..
Those lines appear under Andy Green's face in HIRES resolution. A bit of self-promotion (well deserved), along with a technical achievement for the time!
Maybe there is/was kind of protection scheme.... is it possible that this was Andy's real phone number ?
Didn't notice any physical protection, the WAV directly decoded and worked as a TAP file.
I bet that was his real phone number. Some French authors did the same, and IIRC Andrew Moore left his address the game Don't Press The Letter Q

Anyone know what happened to Andy 'Grun' Green? He always made weird-as-anything games that had a touch of the nightmare about them. 'Them' released by Virgin, I believe, was another game that somehow just made me feel uneasy and I get the feeling it was the author's intention to unnerve the player. I could be wrong and he was just smoking good weed. I'm not criticising, btw, Them and Delta 4 were both very, very good IMO and original.
Anyway. I hear the name Andy Green regularly still making new 8 bit games on various platforms (no Oric yet) but it could easily be someone else.
This author wasn't exactly your average type of game designer. I doubt he'd easily disappear into obscurity.
