Do you think it is possible ? Are the voltages compatibles ?
In fact, it is such a pain to build a RGB-->SCART cable when you are not electronician, this could be my solution since I saved a complete working cpc464 with its color monitor from the trashes in the street !!!
Thank you for any piece of advice
Oric RGB output to Amstrad CPC464 color monitor input
Looks like it's doable:

You can probably put the RGB pins of the oric cable to the corresponding amstrad monitor pins

So, the CPC outputs "analogue" (1V) RGB. Does the Oric too? I know the BBC outputs TTL level (3-5V) RGB, and I believe the Spectrum does too. That is something to consider, the voltage level of your outputs. If it is too strong, you may need to add resistors to bring down the voltage to not damage the monitor.

CPC monitor
Of course it works. I've been using an Amstrad monitor for ages whcih came from Dave DIck.Twilighte wrote:I'd also be interested if this works since i have an amstrad monitor, i'd also be interested to hear if the power output of the monitor (intended for the CPC) is compatable with the Oric Power?
There are at least two different monitors and they have different connections. The old dark green ones are the type I'm familiar with. You can chop off the DIN plug and fit a proper one that'll work with your Oric. (Actually I soldered the Oric wires into a replacement DIN so I can connect either.
I can send CPC connection details to anyone that needs it but you should be able to find the computer socket details on the net - and the DIN plug fits the socket so it's easy to figure out !
The CPC power is no good for Orics.
