Oric microdisk / 3.5" floppy disk CROSSED RIBBON cable query

If you want to ask questions about how the machine works, peculiar details, the differences between models, here it is !
How to program the oric hardware (VIA, FDC, ...) is also welcome.

¡Hi baz67!

Perhaps you like this: ftp://ftp.cpcszene.de/pub/Computer/Allg ... FD305S.pdf see pages 16 and 21.

I'm using two drives TEAC FD-235HF A529. Great drives, with lots of jumpers. You must use 720K disks, 1.44M disks don't work unless you close the window with adhesive tape.

Best regards.

Brilliant,
You've all been very helpful, Silicebit.
Appreciate all the trouble, tips, tech manuals sent... now to tinker/try some tin solder!
Cheers, fellas.
