Hi Fabrice, thanks for the explanations.
Indeed I wanted to use the HIRES test to check for the multiple vs single read behavior of the various display modes
Would be interesting to keep this ULA, perhaps it has other funky behavior!

Hi Chema, hi Mike, yeap I have a faulty Oric board where the ULA is ok, and it is mounted on a socket, so I can use this replacement. Unfortunately, Patrice's board has a soldered ULA, and i don't have a good unsoldering station (and even with an unsoldering station it is often difficult to correctly remove such 40-pins chips), so I might finish by cutting the pins and unsolder them one after the other...
