I'm planning some maintenance work later today, mostly exchanging the broken UPS and redoing connections correctly.
During that time the systems will be offline.

Will probably take less than an hour, but does not hurt to plan for more :)

Everything is reconnected to the new uninterrupted power supply.

If you are interested, here is what it looks like:

It's a BlueWalker PW VI 2200 LCD.

The two previous ones were APC Back-UPS 700VA, and both failed with scary noises after less than two years of usage (and admittedly a number of power interruption they did handle correctly).
I'm not sure how good the new one is, but I guess time will tell.

Is it just me, or is there anybody else experiencing problems when accessing this forum? I get intermittent connection errors...

Yes, same here: slowdowns, long reply time, timeouts.
Hoping Dbug's not experiencing boring / time consuming problems.

I noticed that yesterday evening, but I have no idea why it happens.
The internet line is working fine, there are no particularly scary messages in the Apache logs, pinging the machine is fast...

My ISP warned me they will be work on the line today and tomorrow, so maybe the problems are related.

In any case, I'm planning to do a bit more maintenance work during the next week-end, I'm going to replace the existing harddrive by a newer and faster one.
