The same for me.
100 eur is a good limit

Regarding the problems with 3D printing, I just discovered that: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ti ... 3d-printer
180 euros, including 1kg of printing filaments, not counting the shipping.

Looks like 3D printing may actually be coming to everybody soon :)

seems to be interesting, despite the small size of the pieces it can build

@Godzil: about the mechanical 'nice to have':
- LCD connector on PCB - it's fragile - one of the cumuluses I received from metadata was broken - probably not good soldered and during transportation was detached. Than follow a long story how I fixed it - I will post additionally with pictures. Probably the selected footprint for the connector is not the best one.
- connector on the bus PCB should have 'key' - to avoid wrong plugging.
- SDCard slot is simply glued to PCB - it's breaks easy after some insertions.
But as I said, these are just nice to have if the price is higher.
The most important for me is that device works with all of my Orics - just like Cumana does!

I suggest lasercut case, fastest and cheapest to produce, I can do a prototype but I need final measures or one unit even not working

I need two cumulus , is it the right place ?

ntrs: Yes it is!

Could you please add an entry in the survey?

Yes, the LCD need to be changed anyway, I still searching for a part that have the same display size, and a somewhat similar physical size and that does not cost 1/2 of the current price.. :D

Yes for sure!

I will look at this, I don't have my cumulus here, and haven't got any problem with it for now, but it shouldn't be glued for sure!
There are tons of SDcard socket, I will take one that is strongly soldered on the board!

By the way, for everyone, do you prefere a real SD socket or a microSD card is nice too?
It may help getting the PCB a bit smaller, but that not something essential

I'd be okay with a MicroSD, but its easier to give the kids a normal SD card to swap in and out of the Cumulus for an Atmos session, so something to consider..

I guess it depends of the usage pattern, but when I was doing some development I was glad it was a large and easy to extract SDCard that would fit in the reader of my laptop because I had to swap them around quite a lot. (also none of my computers has a microSD reader built in.)

A microSD to SD adapter is really cheap and generaly sold with a microSD card, but ibisum & DBug you have a point, I may keep the normal SD size, and switch only if it just take too much space and force the PCB to be bigger.

Do you prefere a slot with a pushpull mechanism like it is currently, or one like the HxC and Raspberry Pi?

As long as it's easy to insert/remove and that the direction is obvious and the contact firm, I could not care less :)
What I hate is the push/pull type when it's made to be seamless with the case, so you need to push inside with your nails or another card to actually get it far enough so it pops out!

This one too: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1uUSQvb ... Y/viewform :)

(it helps me know how many are wanted and who wants them)

Thanks!

For those who are twice in the list, do you want me to delete the old entry?

Hope you guys will manage to produce another Cumulus device. Would love to get one too.
