Here are the two last demos for OricExos:

Mining Bitcoin on an OricExos

Thanks to OPTION8 for the original source code: https://github.com/option8/8BITCOIN
More explanation and good info MINING BITCOIN ON AN APPLE II, A HIGHLY IMPRACTICAL GUIDE.
One interesting quote from it:
TL;DR: Mining Bitcoin on a 1MHz 8-bit processor will cost you more than the world’s combined economies, and take roughly 256 trillion years.
Obviously with OricExos you will need ONLY 64 trillion years ! :o

OricExos as 9-Channel Sound Player

This tune runs on 3x AY-3-8912 using all 9 channels. For OricExos I used to split it in 3 YM files - one per each slave.

I'll update the OricExos emulator next days so you can run the demos yourselves.
In above videos don't pay attention to the strange colors for now - Oricutron AVI capture is only 4-bit - I'll fix this with the update.

BTW, about the Reddit Christmas Music contest:
If someone provide sample (AY,YM,PT3) of holiday music with (best) 12-channels we have time to enter the contest with the real OricExos!

Cool :)

For the music, maybe waskol could help?

I don't think there are multi-ym versions of christmas musics available, but possibly in midi format, now, not sure how to convert that.

About the multi-channel audio: I used ArkosTracker 2.
I found in its samples this 9-channels tune (i.e. in sub directory: songs/ArkosTracker2/9Channels/The Last V8.aks).
The export is easy: from File menu Export as YM, and you can save every 3-ch. PSG as standalone file.
I think this will work for midis too!

2020-01-02:

Last 2 demos are re-captured and updated:

OricExos Bitcoin Miner (new)

OricExos as 9-Channel Sound Player (new)

OricExos emulator updated:
* new AVI-file creator and codec which allow full-color video recording;
* all demos can be loaded from disks/ sub-directory;
* improved multi-channel sound mixer.

Try this update and enjoy multi-colors and multi-sound! :)

BTW, If I recall correctly there was report about sound quality corruption in Oricutron?
Please, use OricExos emulator to load some audio demos and compare the playback vs. Oricutron - if it sounds better I can update Oricutron too - your opinions are important! ;)

Wow, the only thing that could possibly be cooler than this is a real OricExos sitting on my table in front of me .. ;)

NICE work!

At first glance the sound sounds good, but I'm in the process of upgrading my main computer before the Windows 7 end of line deadline, so proper examination will comes next :)

I want this, but .. non-destructible.. I guess the video mixing is the missing component to make that happen..
