Re: Oric Atmos to bring back to life!
Now finally the Oric starts!!!!!!!!! But I have issues with the keyboard... Congrats, another Oric lives! Check closely all soldering pads of key switches and cable. Check if the newly soldered sockets really make a good contact - I had such magic and exactly on fixing key issues - when I measured ...

Re: Tap2Dsk limits
Has anyone tried to expand these parameters already? Attached t2d.zip contains sources of tap2dsk (current from OSDK repo) and tap2dsk2 (my modified version long time ago derived from older source). I packed both for easy text compare because of reformatting (spaces instead tabs mainly). tap2dsk2 c...

Re: DRAMARDUINO - Dram tester with Arduino
Can anyone shed some light on this? Hi @erik, welcome here! Arduino UNO and MEGA are obvious different. I can suggest to try first with my DRAMARDUINO code - it's proven to work and all pins are exactly as in comments. Then you can read carefully the UNO and MEGA PDF's and remap used pins as needed.

Re: New toy: SOUNDTOY
... but its supposed to be a HEX input I think the problem comes from the string length too. Hm, I've just realized you use OSDK library which calls a ROM routine for hex->bin conversion and (obviously) it rises the error message. IMHO, the best is to use 'gets' to fill an input buffer and then use...

Re: New toy: SOUNDTOY
Very nice. Congrats, @ibisum!
Two small suggestions:
1. Add one more 'reset' option which simply mutes the sound.
2. Add simple input check to avoid "Overflow error".
With (the quickly found) #E012 my chopper is ready to take-off .

Re: Mageco MIDI interface
Actually, I have a plan:
This USB-to-MIDI converter will transform the PC into musical instrument.
Then pressing keys on Oric I should be able to "play" piano, right?

Re: Mageco MIDI interface
Well, just to say that the project moves on high gear :). Some quick photos of the MIDI-Shield: 20230603_143737.jpg 20230603_143758.jpg 20230603_143815.jpg I will open new thread with detailed description and info about every part. But related to MIDI : how we can test it ? In common, for me...

Re: DRAMARDUINO - Dram tester with Arduino
... Maybe that is not a realistic failure mode for the chip? All tests check if the written data is the same as the read. Hacking the address lines (simulating shorten input A0..A7) simply change the actual tested cell in the memory array, so the test can pass. I think it's possible to make an impr...

Re: Wizard's Lair - [raxiss]
Great achievement, rax, congrats!
Additionally: I think there will be soon disk- or cartridge-based version with extended features and even more attractive! The game supports any IJK compatible joysticks, so have nice weekend and enjoy it.
