Re: Networking Orics.

Fabrice was working in this direction some time ago. I don't know how far he got with it.

Re: List of games from 90's and 00's

One rarity is Basic2+ which was a multiplatform version of Basic. The idea was to have programs that could work on any machine. There was an Oric version.

There was also a thing called Active Learning Program whcih came out for the Atmos.

Re: List of games from 90's and 00's

You can probably add most of the FGC/ HGC titles. Also Dr Ray's Compiler and Wordspeed. Your Oric team released the Last Warrior, if memory serves me, though it was a translated version of the French game. I think Lode Runner was going to be one of the last commercial releases but not sure if it was...

Re: Keep your retro-computers in safe...

Yes, boxed ones aren't rare - the one that fetched a high value was in mint condition and original packaging. But people have been trying to get the same value for a simple used boxed Atmos. They are the same thing. I agree. The value of a newly constructed Atmos doesn't include any money for the ti...

Re: List of games from 90's and 00's

Mirage was set up by Rob Cook of OUM. They released software that Rob had written with a friend, Paul Moxon doing the artwork. Titles include Cricket(1989), Escape(1990), Galactosmash(1989), Grand Prix, League Soccer(1989), Grendel (1990)by Alistair Way Adventures -Grandad(?) and Sausages (1992)by P...

Re: Keep your retro-computers in safe...

It's cheaper than when they were new! Disk interfaces aren't on offer very often. When they are the price is fairly high. Boxed things make more. It's pushed the asking price up and I now see very tatty boxed Atmoses wish an asking price around what a mint condition Atmos achieved with intact box an...

Re: List of games from 90's and 00's

I'm not sure when certain titles were released. There may be some of the FGC/HGC titles but I'm not sure which will be 80s and which 90s.

Do you count Mirage and such like?

I'm not sure. I think they used a basic database and maybe a word processor but I' didn't get any of that.

Re: The "Jonas" clone and other Theoric stuffs

I hadn't really noticed that. There isn't a picture and I don't recall any further mention of this, so I wonder if it ever got made. Doesn't it mention it being made in Hawaii? I can tell you that Hawaii airlines used Atmos computers to log passenger lists etc - because they sent me a couple of Atmo...

Yeah, that'd be good. Here's what I've got to swap. Oric-1 Manuals (EDIT - sorry - my mistake - I didn't look close enough. These are Forth Manuals with the Oric-1 front cover) Forth Manual - Tansoft new unsold stock - I have the tapes for these too. (These have the new design cover) 20 Games for Yo...

Re: An introduction

Yes, as has been mentioned, it is better to write for the Atmos (V1.1 ROM) which is a little different to the Oric-1. There are various assemblers if you want to go that route, but there seem to be issues with each of them. (I'm no expert. ) Jonathan (Twilighte) Bristow wrote numerous utilities for ...
