Re: Adventure Games and Solutions, Help needed !
I just uploaded ‘Enchanted’ to Oric.org And for the users of the Erebus, here is a .tap version I've created from the disc version... (Maybe in the stuff section, Didier?) This .tap is a bit "improved" by a GPS option :-) I 've also a map ( practical with the GPS) and a solution of this g...

Re: IJK interface diagrams.
AN other way to connect the joysticks:
4 outputs, PASE x2 and IJK x2.
No upside down connecting.
IDC connector soldered on the edge of the PCB.
Not yet tested...

Re: IJK interface diagrams.
I will experiment with an interface with a slightly larger shell, there will be a pcb with 4 more transistors, there will be 2 IJK outputs and 1 DB9 PASE output. there will be no need to plug it upside down.

Re: IJK interface diagrams.
Exactly, these old switches are no longer found and they are bulky. The white connector with the ugly calipers can be replaced with a commercially available male black joystick cord.

Re: IJK interface diagrams.
Hello everyone.
There is a simple way to use a maximum of games with the joystick, on the picture below, the diodes are in the black case, the interface works in IJK mode, if you plug the IDC connector upside down, you work in PASE mode.

Re: Oric-1 display problems
The scart must be wired with a video cable type, the coaxial insulation is thicker than the audio insulation, to start, you can leave everything plugged in and add a bedside lamp switch on the 9v power cable.

Re: IJK interface diagrams.
The first list contains the games that we find on Oric.org, GhostGobbler is the only game that I have modified, it is downloadable here:https://forum.defence-force.org/downloa ... hp?id=2430.

Re: IJK interface diagrams.
I thought I had a list of patched games on MySilicium website but it was only a dream, here is a summary of what exists for the IJK joystick interface: Already included for all IJK interfaces: Attack of the cybermen Dambuster Damzell in distress Don't press the letter Q Gubbie Playground21 Xenon III...

Re: Oric V23 Modem
I saw the technical data of the usb wire TTL-232R-5V, normally we can connect it directly on the Oric interface the level of the voltage is 5v only. The french Minitel terminal uses this same level voltage. The problem with 0-5v level, the wire to communicate is shorter than the -12, +12v level mode.

Re: Oric V23 Modem
The Oric interface uses 5v signals, which makes it compatible with the Minitel device which is why there is no Max242 chip to convert the voltage signals, even if the inputs of the minitel tolerate voltages up to 18v and -18v.

Re: Oric V23 Modem
With a DB9 connector on the old PC you have to add a MAX232 chip to make the signals of the Oric interface compatible. (The Max is a "pump" that creates +12v -12v from a 5v power supply). With the "5v" USB cord this is not necessary, the levels of the signals are 0-5v.

All that remains is to make the polystyrene holder with an insulating foam spray and a terracotta mould.
