Re: OSDK 1.13
Just a few things since I've been messing with some oric tools. ;) OSDK is not very DOSBOX compliant ;) since DOSBOX doesn't take long filenames (so sample files builds end up not working) \bin tools (some of them not tested them all) return "can't be run in dos mode". I guess there's no s...

Re: Oricutron 1.0 (EDIT: Now 1.2)
Well you should be really motivated to get something working on the oric ;) Since I can't paste my basic stuff in Oricutron (see above) I decided to use txt2bas to have a bas file. I then use oric-dsk manager to put it in a dsk file and then load this in Oricutron (harware/microdisk mode/dir is ok f...

Re: Oricutron 1.0 (EDIT: Now 1.2)
When I "paste from clipboard" some basic code in Oricutron (1.2) it goes in "monitor mode" without any reasons at different stages. If I paste the same lines twice the bug may not happen at the same point but unfortunately happens 100% when doing so.

Re: Competition CEO: New Year 2019
I think I will. A lot of things on the agenda for various machines nevertheless it should be nice to do something on the Oric. But to be honest it will be a plain dull and uninteresting little something only.

Re: ROM 1.0 / 1.1 compatible programming trick?
Well I have some roms at home, what checksum are you looking for (or not looking).
If needs be I also still have a dozen atmos at home, I can dump the rom if one fits your criteria (any way to check which rom you are looking for/revision board etc).

Re: ORIC SDCARD
Thanks to Dbug to bring me alive ;) @Edl42 : Nice project and even greater to share it. @Ibisum I don't know much about Fritzing but I opened this up to have a look - do I have to Autoroute the PCB first, to get something I could send off to be made? Because when I do that it seems to make a PCB wit...

jasmin problem
Hi there Sorry for the dumb question (I never saw a Jasmin drive), is it using 3'' disks? Yes. Maybe the disk is damaged . If it uses 3.5'' you can try writedsk or something similar and boot from a freshly created disk and maybe Sedoric 3.0 (which does not ensure it will work, anyway). Sedoric will ...

oric on a chip
hi there,
Torlus has an oric-on-a-chip design in the pipes (well one of the numerous pipes since he's working on a lot of projects). He told me he had "just" to add VIA and I don't remember what else (but ula is done).

Hi there, As said before, the spectrum was the easiest since the first images of spectrum softwares were snapshots of the memory with the game loaded so petra's first CFcard for spectrum (ide indeed) was in fact based on a rom improvement and a few chips only. Ok for the oric it's a bit harder but c...

Hi there,

oric
Hi there, Well I've been using oric computers (UK or french ones, 1es or atmoses ;) ) on a a whole bunch of different monitors (microvitec, oscar, commodore 1084, philips) and TVs (sony, philips, orion, and other brands, some with autocommuting others with manual commuting) without any problems. As ...

Hi, Have you tried to connect your oric to the Joytech? I've been reading the manual of your monitor and it should be ok. Use the sys button to choose between ntsc/pal and the input selection (the one next to the sys button) to cycle through RGB/composite/svideo. You don't care about the commute stu...

hi there, I don't know about the difference in terms of level between french and non french oric. If you're talking about the "commuting" stuff, when you plug the oric the TV knows it's rgb signal because it receives some voltage on a given pinout there's no need here. In fact it's a compo...
