Yeah, I think it is supposed to be Oric-1 compatible. Twilighte told me that he was not using the rom for anything (something I should have supposed, I refrain from using it too). But the game hangs with the same symptoms as you describe when using an emulator with the 1.0 rom (Oric-1). The game ask...

You would need Twilighte (the author) to answer this, but most likely he is making use of ROM routines which are just ATMOS-compatible? That would make it impossible to run on an Oric-1. Not sure if he is using C (or the C library) with the OSDK, but IIRC this development kit relies on ATMOS rom onl...

I would not like to seem as if repeating myself, but here it goes. Any small and compact mass storage is appreciated indeed. The loading times could be made smaller if Fabrice's quick loading patch is applied (never tried it, but it seemed to work when loading from CDs and PC?). I know that plugging...

EDIT: ok, no panic I guess. Had time to test on the other Oric-1 and on one Atmos, same behaviour. Here's the exact situation: I can press ESC during the demo, Y or N to launch the tutorial, then no keys respond anymore. I guess it's my disk copy that is faulty, but I can't make another one here. W...

Furure programs should select carefuly the keys to use. I would amend that slightly and say "Furure programs(such as a ZXSpectrum emulator) that require multiple keypresses should select carefuly the keys to use." because in general practice its never an issue 8) Of course, I meant when y...

Hope you solve it and can transfer disks to your telestrat soon...

So you will be able to test the soon-to-come 1337 new version with Telestrat support :)

Phantom keypresses on Oric keyboards

Hi again, Fabrice Frances detected a strange behaviour in the Oric keyboard when testing 1337 and our keyboard scanning routine. I am sure he would not mind if I post here his conclusions On the real keyboard, when you press 3 random keys on the keyboard matrix, you might sometimes get 4 bits set to...

New version of Euphoric (build 1011)

Hi guys. I know the future of Oric emulators goes in the direction of Oricutron, but anyway I guessed you might be interested in this new version of Euphoric Fabrice Frances just released with a couple of new hacks. Build 1011 changes ------------------ - now emulates the PSG IO-port direction bit. ...

Hi guys! Thanks to Fabrice, who seems to be the only one being able to run 1337 on real hardware, we have spotted a minor bug in the game, and also an error in the emulators (both Euphoric and Oriculator). It seems that in both emulators the behaviour of bit 6 in register 7 (direction of the data po...

Shaun Bebbington has just emailed me to tell that 1337 was featured in this week's Micro Mart magazine (I think number 1125, released 23rd September). I am trying to arrange a way to get a copy, and, at least, read his review (I hope the review is not too bad, despite the bugs of the first version)....

You undertood perfectly ;) I don't understand what you mean by loading a rom in overlay RAM. You mean trying to have a V1.0 in overlay to check if it's ROM related? When booting sedoric 3, you can select to load v1.0 or v1.1 in overlay ram, which I understand that gets rid of most of sedoric code. ...

1. On my 4 Atmoses, only 2 booted with the disk drive, the others didn't react Not even the message about tweaking RV1??? I heard about problems when plugging the microdisc with some orics, but 2 out of 4 is indeed worse than I expected. :( For the hardware guys working on a new controller, it woul...

This one was great... I wonder if there is any instruction that plots the message in the ROM basic

EDIT: Ups... no. They stripped the code in the Oric basic, it seems (reading the above link)
