Re: Gamebase Oric V3.0
Generally speaking. :) Maybe you have dial-up connection too? I'm not sure but older computers may take longer than expected and cause a time-out failure (?) If you have a more modern machine try downloading with that and then transfer to the WInXP machine. I'm not sure if this is available for down...

Re: Silly Survey...just for fun.
I liked the Commodore 128 which has some advanced features but still had a C64 inside, so you could switch to the C64 mode for compatibility with its software. The Telestrat was a nice idea of a similar kind but not advanced enough IMHO. The colours on the C64 give a lot of options, orange and diffe...

Re: personal computer world review April 1983
I have that. I'll see if I can dig it out of the box I think it is in.
I think I have seen this review online elsewhere (?) It was a very early one IIRC.

Re: Tap files To files for Cumulus
I have my own business too, so appreciate the lack of time. The Rhetoric disks compilations were made available on Oric .org which may be useful for you. I think I also posted the IJK disks here somewhere which collect all the IJK software. One alternative I think is Jorodr's SD card system which - ...

Re: Tap files To files for Cumulus
I don't think there is a list like that. We're still trying to get the tapes available. There is a list of software generally but not a specific disk based list. There may be a list of CEO disks. They did a quarterly disk with different items. They also had a few separate disks with games like Mah j...

Re: Tap files To files for Cumulas
They aren't generally available. CEO has produced disks for years but you'll have to buy the disks. They are still going. People wanted the games in the original form so the uploads online were mostly tape images. I have boxes and boxes of 3" disks there's too many for me to convert - but it sh...

Re: New Oric Forum
Yes, I guess that was a very tongue-in-cheek 'rival'. OUM used to have a lot of reminiscing and letters saying how people with an Oric felt like they were the only one, for example. I guess many of us had a similar story. I think most of us still using Orics have some level of programming or hardwar...

Re: New Oric Forum
Baz is trying to keep it light-hearted so the comments are a bit - erm, different.
I doubt the rival forum will mount much of a challenge to this one.

I'll send it down when I can get some packaging sorted. I suspect it is a timing issue but I'm just guessing.

Re: Next Cumulus batch
Are you still interested in an Atmos that won't work with Cumulus? (I sent you a message but got no reply. )
I had my monitor repaired and found an Atmos that boots but won't works with the old ULA or a NEW one. (With my other Armoses the Cumulus worked with a new ULA).

Re: List of games from 90's and 00's
I suppose if you are including things like you mention in the first post then there are the 4K programs (and 1k?) that were done for those programming competitions. eg 4Kkong
