Re: Oriclopedia: Tansoft

Do you have the Oric-1 version of the Forth manual?

I've got 1043 commercial titles listed.

Re: cataloguing tapes

Sausages !
I wonder if that's the text adventure program we've been trying to get working?
Please have a look at that and see what it is!

Re: Oric Games Trade

Yeah, I'm willing to pay.
What's the Lost in Space situation? Did you get one from Baz?
I have one to swap if needed but can't find the other title.

Re: cataloguing tapes

There was a program in the PD list that sent a catalogue to the printer. Tapecat.

There's one called Casscat. A Basic program, so you can list it.

I think there are others.
There's a copy of Lcat7 from Théoric on Rhetoric disk 5, which has Casscat too.

Guys, be more practical - why not to use small metal ballpoint-pen refill as tube. :)
Because it's full of ink!?
I wouldn't have thought it was strong enough.

Re: Introducing myself

Brass tube is probably no good -- you need something that is stiffer than the thing you are trying to bend, hence stainless steel tube for brass-copper pins, and it needs to be a good fit, otherwise you can't really get it to straighten the pin. Maybe if you can find a fat enough diameter of *blunt...

Re: Oricutron disks and tapes

Thanks for the fix! Tested and it works fine for me. (Developer builds and OricExos emulator updated: 2019-09-05 ) :) Cool. If I download the files do I just need to copy the oricutron.exe across? I've got Win7 64bit. I'm not certain if my Oricutron is the Win32 or Win64 version. How can I tell ?

Re: Introducing myself

I have a load of spare boards that you could use to get a speaker or some of these other parts from.
PM me if you're interested.

Re: Oricutron disks and tapes

I've also noticed a problem with tapes, for example adventure games, where you can save your progress. The saving doesn't work. On a real Oric you would usually insert a blank tape to save game data. I don't know if there is a way of switching tapes like this under emulation? (I think it worked on E...

Re: Introducing myself

I think that's basically a pin vice with a tube in its jaws. You can get the pin vice a lot cheaper elsewhere. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Swivel-Pin-Vice-for-Hand-Drill-Bit-Chuck-Jewelry-Watch-Repair-Tools-0-1-0-3mm-G/223609508268?hash=item34102a51ac:g:S0UAAOSwpONZVwvy Then you just need to find a m...

Re: macadam bumper

Doesn't work though.
I've tried both versions I have and you get a sound when you press P but no credits, so you can't start.
