Re: OSDK 1.14 RC

Is this only related to the C compiler? Would any test with my games, which are mc only, be of any use?
It's mostly C, but would be cool if there was no other regression introduced involuntarily :)

OSDK 1.14 RC

Hi, for a change, this new version of the OSDK is not a full release, but a RELEASE CANDIDATE version, the reason being that it contains the very latest version of all the code changes made by Fabrice to the Oric compiler, including fixes to the -O3 mode, additional optimizations, bug fixes for floa...

Re: OSDK C compiler : are floats supported?

Would be nice if you could provide the source code.
Like the complete project that I can just recompile, because else it's just guess work.

Re: CRTC Pasta assembler

I like it! ;) When I started looking into replacing opt65 some time ago I thought of using Haskell to write my own. :D Sure, but I will not accept any non C or C++ programs in the OSDK. Despite all its quality, Waskol's program was in Delphi, and that was annoying to integrate in the system, could ...

Re: OSDK C compiler : are floats supported?

I believe Fabrice fixed some issues in the floats recently, maybe we can try that again when the integration of the new code is done.

Re: CRTC Pasta assembler

Its syntax is inspired by xa65's (which most people here are familiar with I recon) It is not, by far. The only common thing is that it uses the 6502 conventions that most assemblers have agreed on regarding immediate, addresses, hexa, etc... What is different from XA: - .org instead of * - .scope ...

Damn, I forgot about chkdsk... gosh. The type of the file system is FAT32. Re: Cumulus with Wifi/SD Card?

Can you check this parameter in your card?
Do you know of an easy way to check that (on Windows) ?

Re: Thoughts about WAV tapes repository

I would not "match analog recordings", I would convert the various analog recordings independently into digital ones, and then do some matching on the result.

Re: Cumulus with Wifi/SD Card?

I got myself a Toshiba FlashAir "Wireless LAN" (W-04, SDHC, 16GB) and all I get from the Cumulus is "SD Card I/O Error!" when trying to access it. The card is formated in FAT 32, so I'm not quite sure what the issue is, I did not get to test the wifi part because it could not even get the files acce...

Re: Thoughts about WAV tapes repository

I was working on a tool called Wavpeak, that was supposed to revive a WAV file from an old and faulty tape, by re-boosting the peaks from the signal and checking if they were correctly set. But the lack of time kills 90% of my projects. I wonder if it's possible to do a decent software alternative ...

Re: Thoughts about WAV tapes repository

How accurate are Tap images? I mean we can combine files to a single tap file so it can include the original loaders and protection. Not really accurate for two reasons: - Many of the tapes just got the "important part", the actual game, with all the pre-loader, loading "please wait text", etc... r...

Re: OricExos - making the impossible

Please take a look at source on github - the compiled result is 190 bytes - any size optimizations are welcome! Not much to optimize, except maybe: - in "; receive content", increment Y instead of the low byte of zdst to make the 16 bit increment faster - have "setup_slave" in the main code to avoi...

Re: Kryoflux: How to setup?

Integrating the Kryoflux format in the emulators would definitely simplify the archiving process: Rip a floppy, mount the stream in the emulator, if it works well save it into a DSK. Does that work in the other direction as well, being able to generate Kryoflux files so you can rebuild physical flop...
