Re: California Devices Inc and the HCS10017

What I find interesting is that the hidden feature may just be what I needed to synchronize the ULA :D

Re: why ? why not... but why ?

Looks like it's a conflict between the two implementations of the rand function. When the include file is not used, it uses the rand function that calls the ROM, when the include file is used, it calls the rand32() through a macro which makes no sense to me, either I was drunk or I was tired: #defin...

Re: Compiling OK, Build fail, where is the problem ???

What that means is that the compiler generated a EQ0W_C "pseudo" instruction which is not defined in osdk/macro/macros.h There is a bunch of variants, but not that one. For reference, here are how some of these are implemented: #define EQ0W_D(tmp,label)\ lda tmp ;\ ora tmp+1 ;\ bne *+5 ;\ jmp label ...

Re: Upgrade Time: Encounter

No you have not missed that, I did not speak about it, it's just the tools I'm using: - "Sublime Text" for the text editing - "Beyond Compare" for all the diffing - "Paint Shop Pro" (8 or 9) for the graphics None of these are free software, but I bought the licences a long time ago, and they work we...

Connectivity problems (again)

Yesterday around 19:58 the main fiber line failed - it is still gone -. Generally these issues only last for a couple hour max, but this time it did not, so we enabled the PLAN B, which is to use the second router (cable modem) as a fail over. It seems to be working, but there are two issues: - Inst...

Re: Upgrade Time: Encounter

So, after these many episodes, I've decided to stop doing the video updates for various reasons :) 1) It takes a hell of a time to do, time that would better spent working on the game 2) It forced me to have something different to show each time, which is not really what happen in the real world of ...

No idea, I guess it's something André Cheramy of the CEO would know about.

Re: Re-encoding Oricutron captures for Youtube

Nice.

Would be better to have the option directly in Oricutron, but that should help having less crappy videos indeed :D

Re: ORIC SDCARD

It's mostly a question I ask because changing the ROM is not trivial, it means your device is not just "plug it when you need it: If a rom patch is required, it means your Oric is now not usable anymore to load and save from normal tapes without your device connected. Just thinking practical :) In t...

You may have more chances asking on the oric.org forums, they have a section specialized in adventure games and their solutions:

Re: ORIC SDCARD

Interesting project :)

Two questions:
- Would it be possible to use the relay pins of the TAPE port to automatically start the loading, instead of having to press a button?
- Is it possible to also save to the SDCard?
