I remember printing out some HIRES screens but I'm not sure how I did it It was slow - but a lot quicker than the MCP40 plotter.
And probably a lot cheaper, the MCP40 is emptying the small pens faster than by car emptying the petrol tank :)

Re: Atmos "Kopy"

Does not even need to be oled, some of these old nokia screens (like the one on the cumulus) have a resolution of 240x240 pixels, that would fit perfectly with the Oric resolution and fit on top of the micro keyboard :)

Oric Games Trade

[The current list of trades is at the end of the post, names in bold are the firms offers I received] A few years ago (time flies...) I started (again) collecting Oric games for the sake of preservation, but also for documenting and making articles about the various publishers, how games were relea...

Re: Spam-bots and ad-bots

Got about 200 user requests a day for the last week, had to change the captcha question, hopefully that will help.

The problem is that I may have missed some genuine attempts at joining the forum.

Re: Universal tracker

The source code seems easy enough to adapt, do you think that would be a problem if we do a fork/adaptation that uses XA instead of Acme?

Re: Universal tracker

Nice! So we basically got native players for both VT and AT at one month intervals :)
I'm far from my Oric, but when I get back I will try it.

Does the player support more than one YM chip?

Re: A possible software alternative to Vsync?

color flickering only works on crt screens with a lot of screen persistance... and by interleaving pixels in a dithered pattern... tldr: don't try on the oric, been there, done that :)

Re: disable keyboard to gain speed ?

20% is not the keyboard reading, it's the total cost of the default ROM IRQ, and there are multiple reasons for that: - it runs at 100hz, which for all intent and purpose is completely stupid, they should have used a 50hz interrupt - it is doubly vectorized, so the ROM vector in FFFE-FFFF jumps to w...

Re: CC65 to DSK

It is generally a bad idea to force people to change their global settings for your own projects. It's common to have people already having compilers or sdk installed, often a different version, and forcing to choose one or the other is super annoying. (I had the problem with mingw and some third pa...

Re: OSDK : how to build it?

Clean rebuild in release from visual studio, zip the content of the C:\svn\public\pc\tools\osdk\main\Osdk\_final_\ folder.
Done.
