Re: Atmos "Kopy"

What are the 'unwanted' parts? I guess the TV modulator and what else? The TV modulator, the negative power supply and the tape interface are omitted. I've added a Led, a potentiometer to set the sound level. All ports are present. Everything on a 10 x 15 cm single side board... I would like ...

Atmos "Kopy"

I have made a copy of the keyboard and the mother board (removing some "unwanted" components).

Here is a live demo of my "Kopy 2019" :

Some soldering and hours, but everything is possible, specially in summertime !

Have a good day ! :)

Re: What is the purpose of this resistor ?

Thank you Mikeb ! That is bright ! I couldn't imagine the concerned chip was the ULA ! A different design for the Red ! A pin with Output and Input : 19 OUT Video R + IN VC Reset 2 Now I can see why there is a "lost" resistor. What a good job made with this document ! Congrats ! Merci enco...

What is the purpose of this resistor ?

Its reference is R26 and its value is 2k2... It pulls down to ground the line between ULA and 74LS365 / Prom 256x4.... R26.jpg Is it an help / a need for generating the Red color ? Why is there nothing like that with the Green and the Blue colors ? Or is it only used with the PROM ? I don't understa...

Re: Atmos keyboard with 15 pin connector?

I also have these 14 or 15 pin connectors. We could give them a number from 1 (the nearest pin of the IC 4051, single chip on the keyboard) and go to 14 or 15... The 15th pin is not connected. But be sure to always plug the motherboard's connector beginning with the 1st pin as described above. If yo...

Re: Composite video mod?

Thank you for all the info ! Very useful !
But nothing about a good converter from the 74LS365, RGB+Sync Outputs to Composite video, ignoring the UHF part ?
I'm looking at this problem...

Re: Atmos with a Slice of Raspberry Pi

Last year I've made an ORICPI for the fun. You could have a look at forums.oric.org, "OricPi" and "Clavier ORIC en USB" (in flag_fr ). I replaced the original mother board with a small one, including a Raspberry Pi, an Arduino Leonardo and a USB Hub. The OricPi worked with Chamel...

Re: Dead oric 1

Hi,
do you know how to read a chip and how to identify its pins (from 1 to 40 by example, for the largest chips) ?
Did you get the Oric's schematics ?

A+

Re: Dead oric 1

Hi Traindriver69, good to see that the 7905 is good. But there is still something on the mother board that drains a "lot" of current. 4.1 V are not sufficient ! And you said that the speaker is making noise... Not good ! Is your Oric plugged to a tv or a monitor ? Unplug everything. Just k...

Re: Dead oric 1

The measure has to be done outside the Oric, between the power supply and the computer. If you make it with the Plus Power line (usually in red on the schematics), you could try something like that : schema2.jpg and tell us what you read in DC amperemeter position (settings on 2 Amp or more in a fir...
