Yes im using same 3.5 inch drive that i had setup and working years ago.only thing thats changed is that the board went to mutant catapiller for overhaul. 3 inch and 3.25 inch drives still work just not the 3.5's (ive tried 3or 4 different ones and still no joy).

Do you use the same connector cable for the 3" and 3.5" drives? If I remember correctly they have different connectors. If the drive spins without stopping, it's probably not a floppy/read problem, it's most probably a signal problem, so either the cable is not the good one (or got damage...

What exactly do you mean by "does not want to work"? Is it like it does not react at all, or just spins forever, etc...? Where does that drive come from, is that an old one, relatively thick, with jumpers, etc... or a modern slim one? There are models which are hardcoded to be on specific...

opelco and 3 1/2 inch drive

hi everyone, does anyone know how to connect said drives to opelco. 3 inch and 5 1/4 drives work ok but not 3 1/2 (it used to ,but cannot remember how to set up - twisted or straight)) board has been tweaked at mutant caterpiller,and new ribbon cable, but 3 1/2 drive doesnt wanna work. any ideas any...

hi debug, yes it was in english ,but i dont know if it was official or a type-in. it was on a disc that came with my oric setup which i bought from a guy in yorkshire

looking for a game...

hi ppl, trying to find a game i used to play years back....was a kind of learning program,cant remember name or author, but it started with something like "im clever,blah,blah" and the first question asked was "does it have legs?"

bit of a longshot i know, but ........

If the HxC HFE to DSK writer is broken, then I guess we need to take a look at it.
