Re: Oric Kong 2013
I am right now reading Bob Pape's "It's Behind you". It seems like fraud in IT business was a common practice back in those days
Anyway, I think that what we are all trying to do by Oricing these days is a nostalgic contact with our early youth.

Re: Recursion 2014 Computer Science Fair
Have a look at the bottom right corner of the first page of the flyer that can be found in the Recursion web site. Under the title "8-bit Wonders" there is a picture with an Atmos, an Oric-1, and then a Specy a Commodore and an Amstrad.
This is how history should have been written.

Re: Cumulus Issues
... we can have two Atmos+cumulus rigs in the house. The kids love 'em! EDIT: I just want to say a very big THANK YOU to everyone who made Cumulus possible. This is really, like, a life-changing event for me - you see we now have functioning Oric's in the house, with which to teach the kids computi...

Here is one of his last letters where he gives a short flashback on his achievements in Oric field and then a short note about the dangerous treatment he was about to have. http://forum.defence-force.org/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=628&start=30 What a brave man. I imagine you riding your Pegasus no...

Re: Oricutron slow in kernel 3.0.0-15
Just to mention that I tried Oricutron in two machines with Ubuntu 12.04. The first is a Thinkpad T40 with 1.8GHz CPU and the second a Thinkpad R50e with 1.5 GHz CPU. Strangely, Oricutron works OK in the latter whereas runs at 70% in the former. The slow Oricutron runs on a ATI RV200 [Mobility Rade...
