Re: Monitor for Orix

Great! I'm still a bit backlogged on getting my Twilighte+Sittler cards set up for Orix hacking .. but I hope to join you soon, in running all these great things.

Re: POP source code found (Prince of Princia)

I can't say I have much love for PoP either, as a game, but the idea of having a conversion for Oric is interesting. It seems to me that the Wurdle demo was headed in that direction: having a similar kind of feel/vibe with rotoscoped animation and Twilighte-level cleverness with colour placement. Po...

Re: JOric

Nice idea .. seems like it would be easiest to build a hash-table of all Oric .dsk/.tap files you can find, then bundle that into a database and include it in the app so that whenever the user adds .dsk/.tap files, their games are instantly recognised .. Or, another idea - you could just build in an...

Re: Twilighte's IM music

Sorry Chema, haven't had a chance yet - my working Oric rig is in a local hackerspace in preparation for a demo later this week - I will try it then, though. Does it matter if its an Oric-1 or Atmos?

Re: Upgrade Time: Encounter

Great! :) About the object-draw: perhaps when you get to the screen fade/merge code, you might consider adding a menu option "Provide Hints", and then, if true, draw the objects with a slightly different fade or something .. anyway, great video, its really looking like a fun game to play. Only issue...

Re: Upgrade Time: Encounter

Great, I feel honoured! My only comment is, seeing the objects drawn that way is a dead giveaway! :)

But, as usual, I remain impressed and look forward to playing.

Re: oric advanced user guide is still available

I never got beyond tape with Oric .. which was why I was so surprised to finally get a Cumulus and find so much stuff I never knew about.

Re: OType

Do you want to turn your Oric into a synthesiser, and never use it for anything else? :P. Because this is how we get synthesisers. :)

Re: OSDK 1.1 Link65.exe weird syntax error

I may be wildly wrong here, but isn't the reference to '06bb' an indicator that there's a bad character in the sources? Can you post the main.s in a way that its content is preserved (attach as file rather than insert text) and maybe inspect it with a hex editor to see if there are dud chars in there?

Re: Paste from clipboard problem

This may not be of any use to the situation, but I recently ran into a few times with bas2tap that it produces corrupt output if the line numbers are too variant, or indeed big, and I solved the problem by using an online Basic-listing renumbering tool, which 'normalised' the line numbers throughout...
